I've been writing MMORPG Private Servers for more than 18 years.

That said, GambitRicky I realize you have a lot on your plate and are looking for development help. I have just checked out the project after reviewing all of the posts on the forums. I've read the documentation accompanied in the source code and I understand the framework and why it is limited to the functionality that you've set forth.

I will start by getting comfortable with the project and code, but expect I'll most likely have to contribute in order to get further ahead myself.

You can find me on SF under emulates. I've cleared out 4 of my projects from SF and am about to start on a rather long test of self as I'll put it. I'm writing an MMO from scratch based on my copyrighted concept Dark Nights Coming. There is already a project space in place for it at SF and I intend to have completed the project in 2 years time. Quite a bit to bite off, but I've managed before in far less time (with a client already in place), but this time I'll have to write both the client and servers themselves.

Looking forward to working with yourself and the other developers utilizing this project.

Expect contributions, I just cannot tell you how many or how rapidly in advance.
Sincerely,
EmulateS
Tom

Hi EmulateS,
Its always nice to meet a fellow developer.
You are certainly welcome as an user, contributor or just an observer.

I would be happy to find more regular contributors.
Note that the Borg Server's core features are fully implemented but there are still some minor areas which need still to be implemented (like the chat system).

Mind telling us what game engine you plan to use?

Regards
Riki

No problem. I'm utilizing the Unity engine as I've noticed a few others have done so as well here. I'm finding that it is a great match for the product and their working together fairly easily.
I'll be getting up to speed fairly soon, so I hope to implement some sort of the chat system and fill you in as soon as possible. ;-)

Getting a lot closer to including the borg server into my project. There will soon be a chat server associated with Unity3D itself. So you all may wish to focus on other aspects than chat rooms etc. The ninja team from Unity3D was actually testing out this new feature that will be considered for the next bundle release of Unity3D. Just giving a heads up and keeping everyone from focusing on this aspect to heavily. ;-)

Cheers again Riki

Is there any licensing limitation for using Unity?
